As a Houston native, I know how deep our roots run here. There’s something powerful about seeing Black people come together and have a good time, and she wanted to build something around that energy.
I founded 288 Events to revive the kind of experiences that matter, experiences that celebrate us, connect us, and remind us who we are.
And why the name 288 Events?
That’s a story for those behind the gate.

Born and Raised in Houston, I carry the heart of my city in everything I do. I carry a deep love for the black community, our Strength, its beauty, and endless variety.
There’s nothing more meaningful to me than seeing us come together in all our different forms; to celebrate, laugh, and just be. There’s power in that. And I’m proud to be a part of spaces that make room for it
